Big News

This week we chat about the Inhumans and Rick and Morty Season 3 trailers. One was good. One wasn’t.

Screentime 1 – Baby Driver

This week we chat about 2 films in Screentime, the first being Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver. We quickly chat about how brilliant it is, and we don’t go deep into spoilers, but if you are worried about them you can skip this chat from 21:25-27:10.

Screentime 2 – Spider-Man Homecoming

We also got the chance to see the latest MCU film (and 6th Spider-Man film), so we chat about that too and what works so well this time. Again, light on spoilers especially as the film is only just out, but if you are worried about any at all then skip 27:10-35:45

The Lost Lighthouse: The Weekly Rapture 63 – Sand Magneto

Welcome back to The Weekly Rapture, brought to you by The Lost Lighthouse.

This week we chat the cast of Thor: Ragnarok and the latest re-jigging happening in the DC cinematic universe, while Gary gets attacked by his cat again and Adam complains about losing TV shows he likes.

We had two main talking points this week (you lucky people!). First up, we give our thoughts on the pilot episode of Preacher that aired this week. We talk about it from around 16-24 minutes. It’s pretty light on spoilers, but if you’re particularly trying to avoid them then skip this bit!

Our second main talking point was X-Men: Apocalypse, with Adam chatting to the Total Reroll DM Ian about this latest instalment in Fox’s X-Men movie universe. We talk about it from 24-52 minutes and again it isn’t spoiler heavy but there are a few things that may come up so  you have been warned!

The Lost Lighthouse: The Weekly Rapture 50 – Candy or Money?

Welcome back to The Weekly Rapture, brought to you by The Lost Lighthouse.

This week we chatted about a new Star Trek series, BBC’s upcoming His Dark Materials adaptation and the Preacher trailer, while Gary laughs his most real, authentic and hysterical laugh, and Adam interrupts a lot.

Gary in 60 seconds was ‘The Thing’ (1982), with Gary taking on the creepy sci-fi horror. We’ll be putting up a twitter poll today to pick which film Adam should do next time, so make sure you vote in that!

In the spirit of not-Halloween-anymore, for the main talking point this week we talked about our favourite horror films, with some excellent suggestions from all of you.

Any prequels you think are particularly awful? Any you hope to never see? Are there any that you think actually turned out to be good, worthwhile films? Let us know! Enjoy!

*Also, the poll results from the Alien 5 or Prometheus 2 twitter poll we set up during the recording ended up being incredibly close with 56% wanting the Neill Blomkamp Alien 5 over 44% wanting Ridley Scott’s Prometheus sequel, indicating that we are totally misrepresenting our audience! Maybe we should stop ragging on Prometheus so much! Doesn’t seem likely.*

The Lost Lighthouse: The Weekly Rapture 35 – El Chupalibre

Welcome back to The Weekly Rapture, brought to you by The Lost Lighthouse.

This week we chat about the return of X Files, the Preacher pilot cast, shared universes, Star Wars – Rogue One and the Russo brothers set to direct every upcoming film, while Gary forgets his own name and Adam accuses him of subverting democracy.

Gary In 60 Seconds (sort of) this week was Harlock: Space Pirate (sort of).
